From end of 2011
I sing this song to the kids regularly at night when I tuck them into bed. Much to my surprise, the girls joined me in singing the entire song last night.
A dream is a wish your heart makes..
When you're fast asleep.
In dreams, you will loose your heart-ache,
Whatever you wish for, you keep.
Have faith in your dreams, and someday..
Your rainbow will come smiling through..
No matter how your heart is greiveing
if you keep on believing..
The dream that you wish..will come true.
There's something about teaching your kids about the world around them that brings great joy to a parent...at least to me. Nothing has brought me as much joy then the fact that Amelia knows what a walrus uses its' tusks for. I just think that's great. Everyone knows that young children are sponges, but in actual practice, it is truly amazing. I am becoming more and more sure that I want to homeschool my children..at least for a period of time. I definitely think it is a part of being a parent that I don't want to miss out on.

Time in Texas
I'm not much for small backyards, privacy fences, and traffic. We have been living in Texas for just about six months now. At least I've been living in Texas for about six months. Travis was here for about 3 months and has been gone for almost three. I've been working full time since we arrived for the first time since I've had the kids. I am anxious to be able to spend more time with them again. I Can't tell whether or not I have learned more or less in all the therapy I'm doing now. Sometimes the more you know, the less you understand it seems.
The girls seem all grown up now. Life keeps moving right along...at a pace I can't keep up with lately. Mickey is talking more than ever and I think his accelerated language skills have caused some dysfluencies. I think it will pass. I'm looking forward to adding some pictures as its been so long. I enjoy looking back on them.
